I found a NIB 89 Front Bumper for $75 and was wondering about the changes to the frame between 89 and 92 and if the bumper would work on my 92 as a straight bolt on unit. Was the accordion crumple zone frame new in 92 or was it earlier than that?

92 was the first yr of the accordion crumple zone. that 89 bumper will not work or is not a direct bolt on.

OK, Thanks. I kinda figured so but was hoping I was wrong. Mine is just ever so slightly twinked from when I pulled my FIL home after the water pump froze up. I'd hoped I would have found a great deal on a new bumper.
