I am gathering parts to install a York air
Just got the York 210

I have been looking at the Kirby site to get some misc. parts

What is the "Oil Return Kit" for - I thought that the York has an oil resovor in it and that it lubercates itself - does the oil just go one way? do you have to do something or will you hurt the york unit ?

any advice is appriciated

You have to drill/tap/cap the weep hole on the bottom. Also, the 'oil return kit' is there because the pump can will leech a small amount of oil through into the outlet and then into your air system, so you catch it in your coalescing filter, and then open the valve to blow it back into the compressor. Altho mine doesnt leak any through :shrug

i dont have a problem with my compressor leaky oil either.
So did you tap hole etc and install the oil return?

or did you just install the pump and use it ?

in the instlations I have seen I just see people installing the pump - there is no mention of doing all of this ???

thanks

I tapped the hole under the head and have noticed some oil in the tank, but not much.
