Finally got some of my stuff installed.

Turns out though that the core support was out of a 92, not a 91. They had it labeled as a 91. So I'm looking to get rid of it now. ;)

Anyways, at least I got the tow rings in. Only had to trim the bumper a smidge to get them to fit. They look stock.

And managed to throw on the roof rack bars I snagged. Still need to do some finishing on them though. And replace one of the mounting screws. As for why I went with this particular system. I can remove the bars later on and use the brackets themselves to mount a basket to. The adjustable bar and track would have interfered with that.

As for that little frame bracket, it's on the back shelf for now. Its just a hair too wide. If I had a welder, it wouldn't be a problem. I'd just cut it down, weld in a 2 in reciever tube and some D rings and I'd be golden.

Those don't look like accordion frame horns.

These are accordion frame horns. See the wavy section that looks like accordion bellows?
Okay, so I was mistaken. :banghead

LUCKY DAY! At least, I feel lucky to have found this pristene grill off a 91 F-150. Mine is a little busted up. But this one is almost perfect. Which considering how ghettoed and busted up the rest of the truck was, its a miracle to say the least. Even the clips, which tend to break, came out without a problem. I may just go to a casino tonight. I feel like I hit the jackpot. I also came away with a new battery mount and a fuse box. The fuse box I plan on using as a second fuse box for all the extra gadgets I'm adding on in the future, rather than try and run it all through the original. It just seems safer this way, unless anybody has any better ideas. I mostly just plan on running some lights, several 12V outlets, maybe an auxiliary heater to defog the rear window.

I also happened to see the most ghettoed up cup holder I've ever seen.

Old and new battery mounts. I'll let you decide which is which. The old one was pretty rusted underneath. The bottom mount bolts just pulled right out.

I think I just beat the crap out of your ghetto cupholders with my rancheros locos log horse shoe cupholder :goodfinge

The horshoe side has a hinge on the back haha
His glove compartment is OG eddie bauer wood trim

My finds for today are these
Two newer dome lights, the gray one i found after the black one. The black one is trashy.. don't know how to mount it. Some vinyl sun visors with a mirror:rockon A lug wrench from the engine compartment, and a pocketful of free eddie bauer emblems.:thumbup

Screws are the most common way. :thumbup
Yeah i did take them off but i don't think that my truck has those female type connectors that are in the screw holes since the PO installed a ghetto tv in there. So i need to either go back to the jy and find the pigtail for it or see if mine has it hidden somewhere. :banghead

Read this caption:

You may want to go with ONLY the ground screw to mount the light, and the car connector for the wires:

But the truck harness is relatively common, though NOT easy to remove intact:

The only junkyard part I found for my 88 was a inside spare tire holder,I need to look for another pair of seats to reupholster since I dont want to keep my bronco down while working on them. I am going to start the hunt for the cargo cover so there goes the idea of using that spare tire holder.

Ford racing headers on a 302 f150. Didn't get them though. Y pipe was already gone so I didn't get to verify if they were truck headers. Didn't get them since I didn't have the cash on me.

Snagged this today after a bird decided to play chicken with my grill last week. Bird lost, but so did grill. Now I shouldn't have to worry about that again. I plan on sanding it down, cleaning it up and painting it black before I throw it on.

After the first coat. I went with satin black, since it won't show as much dirt as glossy. I plan on adding a second coat in the morning, and maybe a third if I have time. The lights need rewiring and I'm going to do that tonight.
Still, its an awesome find for me.
