Just make an adjustable TC linkage. It's not too hard.
I had to with mine since I was mating the ZF5 with the older style floor pan shifter for the TC.

Thats smarter! I just went for the quick option which was 2 minutes with a sawzall and 2 minutes with a drill, lol.

Found a ZF5 for $200, but its from a 460. Guessing the big block bell housing will not work with a small block?

@ianmurphy not so much...
My recommendations:
Option 1: get yourself a big block
Option 2: sell it for more than $200, and get one for a small block

Even if there were adapters available, it would take away from rear driveshaft length, and result in larger angles

As said, that wont work on a SBF. Though it does work on 429, 460, 351M, and 400 engines. Its worth at least double that.
