I was just wondering if there is any site online, or book or even person who can decode numerous Ford ECM's for the Bronco's?
The reason I am asking is I'd like to pick up a 94 351w ECM for a future engine build for my 94 Bronco. I'm assuming the ECM would also have to be compatible for my transmission as well?
I've seen some for sale on here, on other forums and also on eBay, but I have no way of decoding the Ford part numbers or serial numbers/codes as listed on the label on the ECM... and have no way of telling if the seller is selling THE ECM I need, or if it's some bogus ECM from a 4 cylinder Escort... I know most of the Mustang ECM's, but I think it would be pretty beneficial if there were a list of the Bronco/F150/F250 ECM's that are available to use for different engine swaps and such...
Would'nt it be cool if there was a website that you could just input in those numbers and it would come back with a response that tells what Ford vehicles that ECM would be compatible with (similar to the online Classic Mustang VIN Decoder)?
is the above off base?
