I was first made aware of the different regulators in this thread: 3G Regulator difference?

There are some part # references in it.

What I see on the bracket though is what looks like an unused hole at 12 o'clock, that is tempting me to pursue one of the parts that with holes at 12 and 6 o'clock (blue in picture). Will those parts fit or is this bonus hole just there to taunt me? If anyone can kindly point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
Mine is on a 4.9, but the holes at the top of the bracket looks the same as mine and I have the alternator mounted to the hole you have circled with blue. What I would do is measure from that hole to the bottom where yours is mounted and see if a 7" or 8.25" one would work.

Thanks guys!! Really appreciate the help.

I measured between the hole at 6 o'clock-ish and the top hole I circled in blue, and it's 8.25". So I should be good to go if I ordered something like this?

Thanks so much for your help clearing this up for me!
That should do it! Sorry, I missed that you had a 4.9 also.

@Clarko, will he need to do any wiring upgrades?

Does anyone know the part numbers for either a 130+ amp Tuff Stuff or PowerMaster alternator that has the 8.25" spacing? I'm only finding the 7" and am coming up short on 8.25".
Here's a Powermaster listed by Jegs on eBay. It says 8.11" mounting. ?? Powermaster 7761 3G Large Frame Straight Long Mount 8.11 Alternator 140 Amp 3:00 | eBay
