firewall heat/ soundproofing

True the typical Dynamat you see most used iis the sound deadening material. They offer several different types of products. For reducing heat from firewall, floor, and roof I suggest two different products. For firewall and roof I recommend 1/2" DynaLiner and for floor use DynaPad which is 3/8" thick. If your aren't going to use carpet then use DynaDeck over the DynaPad. It is a waterproof and water resistant floor covering that can be washed.

I refuse to use any of the aftermarket floor covering choices. They all have a jute backing for padding and insulation. A majority of floors rusting out is because this stuff retains moisture right where you don't want it. The dyna stuff is closed cell foams of different densities. Closed cell foam will not absorb moisture.

I used dynamat extreme and mass loaded vinyl. There was a substantial decrease in sound. A modest decrease in heat from the firewall. The most efficient way I removed heat from the interior was ceramic window tint.
Yes and they is also a clear ceramic tint for the windshield that is legal. One great thing for me is that ceramic tint doesn't contain metal like off the shelf stuff does. Old fashion window tint can and does create a loss of cell and gps signals.
