I was looking out of my window earlier and noticed my headlights were flickering. I went outside and started the truck, saw the high beam indicator flashing with the lights. Could this be the indicator switch going bad, or the pull out switch? Or anything like a bad ground?

Too easy to replace the switch and do the relay upgrade. Good upgrade.

I see you have a '96, so the relay upgrade may not be applicable. My 80 has a separate headlight switch; sounds like yours is all integrated into the MFS. Anyway, if you do get to digging and the upgrade is applicable, here's one thread:

It's just a harness that plugs into one headlight connector and supplies direct battery voltage via some relays that are actuated by the headlight switch. It eliminates full headlight amperage running through the switch, which is a known fire hazard on models wired like that.
