Just a few pictures. It rained, not cold enough for snow. Went up to the end of 3N06A and then came out and went up Coldwater Canyon.

On the way out, met up with another FSB (Rudy). Not sure his screen name. Rudy and I went up Cucamonga Truck Trail almost to the end and then the snow got deep. I didn't get any pics of that.

Here is the GPS map of where we were Lytle Creek Run

Dont have any pix of the progress, I took pix but then forgot the camera at the shop :duh
All i did was drop the front axle and lift kit out of the donor truck, took me about an hour and some change, but the worst part was cleaning everything so that I can paint them on monday. I found the perfect bracket for my shackle flip too, all i gotta do is weld in a cross beam for strength:thumbup

This is the mount that I will use for the flip. Its the forward mount for the rear springs on a 76 F150 :thumbup

hey ******* what do you think this is. SOunds like its coming from the oil pan
Couldnt tell from the sound clip. Have U checked the oil? Didnt hear anything that sounded like a knock so thats good:thumbup One possibility is that the Torque converters dust shield could be full of mud and that would make noise. I have a stethescope (sp?) for checking noises but I wouldnt drive it all the way up hear if its making noises. :toothless

no didnt think about checking the oil. I dont have a dust shield on. I checked and its not full of mud. Maybe its more like a loud ticking then a knock, I listen to the video again.
I couldnt even hear that much. One thing you can do is check to see if you cracked you flex plate! just get your trusty flashlight and git'r dun :toothless

I was going to say exhaust leak too, did you hit any thing. And if you were hard on the gass the motor could have twisted up more than usual and broke an already week point it the exhaust.
