I don't see many threads on seats, style of seats, seat covers, etc - so, let's make this the official thread on "Seats & Seat Covers for your Bronco".

If you are using aftermarket seats, post up what brand, price paid, where you purchased them and what your overall thoughts are about them.

If you are using a different set of OEM Ford, GM, GMC, Chevy, European, Asian, German or "other" type of seats from another vehicle other than a Bronco, post up pics and your overall thoughts about them.
For the above (2) - if you had to modify your existing Bronco seat brackets, modify the undersides of the seats or make new seat brackets for those above mentioned possible seat styles/types, please post up the procedure, parts or how you went about mounting those seats in a Bronco.

If you have retained your original Bronco seats, but are using seat covers, post up pics, brand of seat covers, price paid, where you purchased the seat covers and your overall thoughts after using them.

I figure many of us use our Broncos for daily driving, highway use, trail use, mudding, half-time 4x4ing, rock climbing, traveling extended distances, trailering items, etc. Some folks may be looking for some different seats to use in their rigs which will be either more comfortable or be more suitable to their Bronco's use and their needs.
Let's get this thread going! :popc1: :beer

Not necessarily. The forward tilt is a feature of the frame and the frame can be fit to other seats, although modifications may be necessary. I fit an '08 SuperDuty bench in my '73 F250 and used the oem brackets to maintain the same floor mounts and position. Depends on how badly you want it and what you're willing to do to make it happen... most times.

Hello,

has anyone every swapped the rear bench seat for a third row Chevrolet Tahoe seat. I came across the swap on Craigslist. I emailed the owner but did not get a response. The ad states that the seat still slips down and fold forward. It looked insanely clean and also had the child seat anchors which is a huge draw for me.

I beleive that is a documented modification around here somewhere. The integrated seatbelts were the big bonus, which allows for easier topper removal on our later models, where the seat belt is connected to the topper. I'm sure you can find it if you search around a bit. Not sure how much or well it's documented though.

Just put a replacement seat bottom cover on my split and blown out passenger seat. I used US Auto SeatCover out of Houston, TX. They are on eBay, it cost me $133 for just the fake leather seat bottom cover. Didn’t have real high hopes but they are really close in color and the construction with the perforated leather is exact. Looks great, I’m really happy.

Installed a set of Ford Explorer 2door sport seats and a 1995 F-150 Jumpseat in my 1994 Bronco. Had to use the Bronco seat brackets so I could use the power driver seat motor, But I do have power lumber in them.

Ok, those are some nice seat xovers. Simple and looks easy to clean. Where did you get them from?

I've been going back and forth on putting buckets in my 81 because I wanted head rests and couldn't find a split bench with headrests. Finally found one from a 97 F250 on Craigslist and verified the mount would bolt in, so picked it up. The bench was worn on the driver's side, so I thought I'd see if the backs would fit the 81 bench. They did, so I thought I'd document it here.

97 spit backs on 81 bench.

Installed the front buckets from a 92-96 OBS supercab. Took some cutting and welding but didnt require any extra material. Basically just cut all the feet off, set the seat bracket in the truck, figured out how tall each foot needed to be, cut it, test fit and tacked it, the tool it in the garage for finish welding and mounting to the seat. Looks decent and the seat is no longer too tall.

Scored some pretty darn good new seats from a Honda Odyssey. Leather 6 way power on the drivers side. I will need to get a new bracket fabricated. Thinking of bringing it straight across the entire front cab and mounting the center console a bit higher as well. The 2X4 fit up is the perfect height. The wiring seems to power it just fine but I will probably go up a size or 2 on the wire just to make sure, plus add an in line fuse to each leg under the seat for extra protection.

Cool, old thread! Just went through the whole thing and now I'm thinking I'm going to use the seats from my 94 Lincoln MK VIII... the driver's bottom needs recovered and they're grey, but super comfy, power everything, and fold forward because it's a 2 door.... photos will be added at a later date.
