I don't see many threads on seats, style of seats, seat covers, etc - so, let's make this the official thread on "Seats & Seat Covers for your Bronco".

If you are using aftermarket seats, post up what brand, price paid, where you purchased them and what your overall thoughts are about them.

If you are using a different set of OEM Ford, GM, GMC, Chevy, European, Asian, German or "other" type of seats from another vehicle other than a Bronco, post up pics and your overall thoughts about them.
For the above (2) - if you had to modify your existing Bronco seat brackets, modify the undersides of the seats or make new seat brackets for those above mentioned possible seat styles/types, please post up the procedure, parts or how you went about mounting those seats in a Bronco.

If you have retained your original Bronco seats, but are using seat covers, post up pics, brand of seat covers, price paid, where you purchased the seat covers and your overall thoughts after using them.

I figure many of us use our Broncos for daily driving, highway use, trail use, mudding, half-time 4x4ing, rock climbing, traveling extended distances, trailering items, etc. Some folks may be looking for some different seats to use in their rigs which will be either more comfortable or be more suitable to their Bronco's use and their needs.
Let's get this thread going! :popc1: :beer

summits seat is the same as the one i saw t kragen for 119. jegs has some nice seats for about 150 with some adjustability to them. Cant vouch for comfort, but they seem nice. id love the mastercraft baja's, but $$$$$$$. OTH, i need a mastercraft or similar bench for the rear, to integrate into the cage so the kid will be safe.

there were some PRP or Mastercrafts seats on sale over at pirate for 160 each. came in black and grey only i think

u have a kid?

Just put in some 2001 Expedition seats in mine. I'll get some photo's next week. I don't have a welder, but am good with fabricating things. it was very easy and if you have a vice, hammer, some type of tourch to heat the metal, drill, and a tape measure you can do it.

The are more bucket like, have all the power adjustments, heated, leather, and are the EB mocha color that matches my EB. when i was up at Hell Whole last week, they were a huge improvement and kept my in my seat at off camber posistions.

I'll get pics next week.

as of july 26th I have a son. strangley, he looks like you.:goodfinge

Dan, i want to see those seats.

90beater, those look very comfy, but not what Im looking for

torvaid the seats in my 94 mazda "ranger" have the pull out leg supports, and have good side bolsters actually, but no arm rests which sucks.

As much as i hate APC i picked up a set of their racing buckets when they came out last year or so IIRC. They have side bolsters and also should boulster and have the openings so you can run a 5 point harness.

THey are very comfy for the price. Only thing i don't like is the manual turn knob to adjsut the back and also the side bolster will break their supporting rods if you bend them back and fourth a couple times. SO i have to fix that on mine. But i can't complain for the price

I could never come up with some decent stock seats for my EB. So I thought I would go after market, but, that was really too much cash..for me..I thought that would be the last resort..

so I came across these I30 Ifinity seats, $125 for two,a place in KC has a butt load of them in their attic space...must be like 20 diff. sets, leather, had to do a little mod. , ...basically had to buy two pieces of plate steal 2"x1/8"x48", ..but they work great, electric too....

you'd think the black wouldnt look good on the tan...but actually it looks pretty good to me

The Corbeau ultra ss is only 220 a seat!! I tlaked to a guy neer me who has corbeaus and he says they one of the best seats on the line. Of coarse he drives civics and is a ricer owner, but the seats look and feel awsome eve though they dont recline, I have a bench seat an it is at the same angle that the ultra ss is at so it wont bother me any. The bench seat dosnt recline either. I think i am going to get them.

Nah they are the Baja SS's. the rubicons are a better seat IMO but they don't recline. I was thinkin of you gettin yer lil' spud in and out easier. :thumbup

When kids get bigger they love climbin over the console. I have a small toolbox on the floor in the back that my girls use as a step-stool.

Another Explorer seat convert here! Hardest part was drilling the holes and leveling the seats so there was no binding.
i got a set of those seats as well waiting to be installed. any tips on instillation and to get them to work correcty? its for a 92 eb but i do not think that will matter.

After all the trouble I had with busted brackets, I replaced the seats in my 84 with a set from PRP Racing. The suspension-type seats are 10X better than anything else. Cost was a tad under $300 shipped. I did mount them to the re-welded stock brackets for a while, but they're now mounted to my rollcage. Pics are at supermotors.net, JSM84

I went to the local pick and pull. All they had were worn out seats. I decided to repair the seats that came with my Bronco. They're going to replace the passenger cushion and the drivers back, plus redo the drivers armrest. All for $870. But it will be back to the orignal condition done in leather. Material was something like $500 because they had to have the little holes punched in the leather and we went with i/2 of a hide so there will be some extra. I had the drivers cushion redone in 1998 by the same shop and it's holding up way better than the factory job.

That was the good news and I condsider it money well spent. The bad news is the estimate to respray the front hood. The original paint has all peeled off, leaving me with a gray primed ulgy front end. They are going to take the hood off and strip it down to bear metal, fix any blemishes, pits etc in the hood, primer, paint, clear coat and sand. The cost for this Ford lasp of quality....$1,065.

The seats get repaired Monday and the painting will be done Wednesday. I don't mind spending a little money on the car. I've bought it new and have put over 100,000 miles on it as it is my daily driver. I just went through the California smog test with flying colors and my Bronco is purring like a kitten.

Bought these from Cabelas to keep my seats from getting entirely destroyed from mud and so forth. They've held up pretty well for over two years, and I think I paid about $30 bucks for the pair. Not the greatest fitting but they get the job done, and I like the camo look.

I put black leather seats in out of 98 Mustang gt. The driver is power. I had to build custom mounts that bolted to the stock floor mounts, but the seats are extremely comfortable. Ill get pictures up soon.
