im engine stupid.. whats that in the first picture..

Windage Tray....when its bolted on, kinda looks like a cover over the crankshaft. Something do with the crank slinging oil...I'm not real sure. I only know what it looks like cause the race car engine has one.

What kinda rockers did you get? I got the Comp Cams Magnum roller tips, 1.7s...I didn't take pictures of mine. :toothless

a little tip when you paint your motor:
don't use rattle cans unless you don't mind the paint discoloring/falling off after awhile.
go to a paint supply near you and by a quart or two of enamal or acrylic enamal(cost more) of any color you want, when you mix the paint add more hardner and spray it with a gun, if you don't have a spray gun, most paint supply places can mix the paint to specs and put in rattle cans for those who don't have access to spray guns/compressors. either way, your paint will look great for years without discoloring/falling off ,won't burn off, cleans up easily and continues looking great.

just a friendly tip, for a long lasting paint job on your motor.

I toned it down a little bit so It should be only around 580-590ftlbs @2000rpm and 350hp @4500 It was around 615ftlbs and 440hp but didn't want 10.5:1 cause gas is too damn expensive.

The rockers are Engine Performance Warehouse. Never heard ofthem but they came in the engine kit. I shouldn't need a rocker girdle on it as it wont see over 4000-4500rpm. The way the old one was it was rarely above 3grand even though it pulled hard all the way to 5500. I dont drive it hard so its built for low rpm grunt.

The windage tray is to try and keep the 10qts of oil off the crank when Im climin a hill. You start slining that much oil and it goes right past the rings and burns off. The only thing I'm missing is the alum. heads I wanted to get. But now I get to put that d44 to the test. I may have a good deal on a d60 front but I wont beable to put it in for a long while. I'm not gonna bother with the d44 for now. I will put 35s or 37s on and see how long the half ton sh!t will last.

And who says 460 are not worth it?(jopes)

Nice,

even though your not revving high with this, those girdles are a good idea.
You got heavy valve springs and a tall cam, the reason the girdles are that popular is because the rocker studs flex till they break on big 460s, and 429s. Yours is big. girdles are like 150.00, for peace of mind.
