Hey everybody, it's been a long time but none of you are forgotten!!!
My 82 is still not shifting gears on it's own even with new vacuum modulator and pin adjustment. My used to be mechanic feels it is the valve body probably from so many years of sitting. As always I am on my own. I've did a bit of research on pulling the valve body and watched a video on tearing down the C6 but don't trust much unless it comes from this forum. Everything you all say always pans out and is reliable info. So, is it true that I can pull the valve body without dropping the transmission? Are there any small parts I need to be aware of that could go missing and cause problems when I re install? Are there any tips you have?
I am also going to pull the servo and check the gaskets. I have a feeling they probably need replacing but don't know yet. Is there anything I need to be careful of when doing this job?
Hoping this will all go without any issues although that is not common for me and the bronco!!!
Let me know and thanks so so much guys and gals!
