EDIT: There is a huge gap in time between this post and the next. I lost several photos and will likely not put them back. But that is ok, its like a TV show this way, where all the sudden its done ( well they are never done but further )
The truck went from being a cheap $1200 project to having a ton more in it then that (dont they all). Been working on it solidly since 2012 now. Hopefully you can bear with me on the hug gap in the dates on this thread.

Warning This build thread may also contain pics of other random Ford stuff as well as progress being made on a 1992 Bronco.

Install a Moroso Oil Seperator on the 92 last night.
Have 2 more of these on other rigs and I like them. Made a new EGR block off plate which also works as the mounting plate for the seperator.
How much oil are you getting in it, does your drain into the pan or do you manually drain it into a separate container
thanks, i was running a hi volume pump which i think was my problem, i know soon
Brandon

thanks
Bob
Brandon, truck is looking good. I hate being confined can't drive the truck that much. But at least saving gas.

Thanks, I'll look them up. I'm just looking to improve the shifting and reliability since i really only driver mine on the street.
Nice work on the truck, been away for a while. When you change to the 429 what are you going to do with the trans cross member, My convertor failed so my truck has been down for a bit. Getting one tonight and will install tomorrow fingers crossed. Question on the new distributor are you running the ford box or did you put a summit box to it. Reason asking I got a msd box and distributor i was running then it all failed, sent it back to mid and they couldn't find anything wrong. Thoughts.
thanks
bob
I went back to the stock ford distributor and box after the msd issue. It pinks with the vacuum advance hooked up so i will unplug i set the timing by bring engine speed to 2500 rpm's and 34-36 degrees and lock it down. I am getting really tired of the truck with all the issues thinking of selling but i will never get close to what i got in it, but would be happy with 15000.00
Back to the beast, be safe with all this crap going around.
Bob
I will unhook the vacuum line to the factory distributor when i get this thing started hopefully today. What scares me about after market ignition is if it fails on the hwy where you going to get the parts. Oh well, hope you and yours are dong well with the stay at home stuff.
If i lived closer i would help you but since i'm in nevada it's a bit far. Stay safe

How do you like the hydra boost, like the work, did you consider a roller for the 460 over flat tappet lifters. I see you are still using the factory cross member for the trans. Are you running pusher or puller cooling fans. I see the summit distributor and box is it made by mid or someone else ?.
Great job
I use v-bands on my exhaust also makes it ez to remove when needed. My next project is the oil pan gasket leak. Finally fixed the trans pan leak. 7 of the bolts were to long causing them to bottom out but not seal the gasket. 2 in front under bell housing, 2 right side under module, 3 back center and left corner.
Hot here 108
Stay cool. I was wondering how are you posting pictures on here
thanks
Bob
I have had nothing but problems with my quick fuel 650 cam. I don't like the 4 corner idle screws, and other little things that make tuning more difficult.
Now my 400 has bad rings from all the extra fuel the carb was dumping into the motor. It starts, runs and drives so when i get home I drain the air/oil separator for the next drive, around town 3-8 miles I drain off 2 ounces of oil which is dark so i know it's coming up pass the rings thru the valve's and into the valve covers and pcv.
If i had the money I call Foose and say rebuilt this monster with a modern motor and drive line. But like most people today no money, as actor no work. Such is life.
Great job Brandon on the Bronco.

Curiosity Branon what did you have to do to the bronco to fit the 460 in. How much more weight is the 460 and power virus the 400.
Hey nice work, i wrote you about a week ago with some question, what is the breather on the driver side inner fender? Waiting on my hydro boost from wh. How's the bronco running with the 429.
Fine job, thanks for the heads up on the breather, great idea. Spoke to hydratech today, asking about the retrun line t fitting. He asked if I go off road with teh truck and I said no, he asked about a cooler and i said yes, i live in the desert, he said that might be a issue with air bubbles. HE RECOMMENDED A AN- FITTING FOR THE PUMP AND TO MOUNT IT HALF WAY UP the back of the pump. I ordered a fitting from summit today . How difficult or hard is it to remove the pump from teh housing. I watch a couple of you tube videos today seem simple, since I'm only adding a fitting. The he said use either royal purple or reline ps fluid. Thoughts ?.
