All righty long story short i went to Riverrock with a local club i was thinking of joining up with...Well we got there and it turned into a big drunken bash within the club, people staying up till 5 in the morning doing doughnuts in camp and waking everybody up and jumping on ppls trucks and taking there cokes to use them as chasers. Then throughout the weekend the bashed everything that wasnt a jeep (heep) and wheeled way drunk the entire time. when i we got back i said something to them about it and there whole website turned into a bash the bronco guy thread... Dang Jeepers! I dont know about yall but i built my bronco to wheel not to look pretty and pass out drunk in it!

Ok Jimbo (that's what I call my bro, jimmy) You have encountered the elusive drunken wheeler, while elusive he can be very destructive and annoying when encountered, this is not the type of club to be associated with, and you can find plenty of guys in SC to wheel with that do not act this way. Please don't take it as a jeep guy trait, as a jeep guy/bronco guy myself i find it insulting that people portray jeepers in this way, I'm sorry that you had to encounter this group, and I encourage you to Introduce yourself in the Regional thread. (I'd tell you which one, but i'm in AZ and I don't know which region that is) Good luck Jimbo, WELCOME TO FSB!

I'm with oldyeller... Not all jeep guys are like that... just lots of them. Drop them like a bad habit and find some decent people to wheel with and you're guaranteed to have a lot more fun!

I'd just say leave well enough alone and find another group. When I went out with one group the party did stay up late and it didn't bother me all that much because I remember doing similar things when I was younger. HOWEVER, it was contained to camp and there was NO drinking and driving. There's as many wheelin group types as there are people. What I'd suggest is to find one or two buddies and just do your own thing. If you're the only guy with a truck then try these groups out one at a time. Sometimes those who advertise as being FAMILLY wheelers put that out to let others know it's not a hard core party group. Put your feelers out and try some other groups out. Like it was said above. They're not all bad. and you're smart to stay away from groups like the one you described.

These are the kind of people that are giving ALL 4-wheelers a bad name. Drop em and find another group to run with. If its an overnight event I see nothing wrong with tossing a few back in the evening around a fire but not behind the wheel and not waking everyone else up. And jumping in other pepoles rides and taking their drinks just don't fly period.

I agree with everyone. Find a low key family group. Keep it safe. When you run into a group like you did, if it had been me there would have been several fresh graves in the morning. With several larger fresh graves with freshly totaled rigs burried in them as well. I have no truck with people like that. I am not a big drinker but I don't mind having a cold one on Occasion. As long as the drinking and wheeling is seperate. I have no kids of my own and my Bronco is my kid basicly. Anyone that jumps on it thats not me will have a meeting of there mind and my baseball bat. I hope you have better luck in the future.
