Since no one makes them, has anyone found another 3 wire push button switch that might match in order to use the mecanism and just replace the switches, I know that EATON made the but from what I see in their webpage they dont seem to have anytthing similar available

I think this is the same as the ones used in our Broncos (not the harness) and it can be adapted just splicing the wires to the Bronco harness. The key cylinder fits perfect (I tested with mine) unless this is a different version but it looks the same as the one I purchased as a spare switch.

I purchased one from ZHBRONCO during bronco fest. I have not wired it up, but from what i can tell it is the same except for the end connector.

The number 1 reason these don't work is because of the power getting to them. The issue is usually the connector under the bumper gets corroded. Make sure you check that.

Sackman is right. i have repaired several tailgates. I have not yet needed to replace the switch but did buy one as a spare since they are getting hard to find. Each time i had a power issue it was the safety switch or a broken wire preventing power from getting to it.

I added relays in the tailgate for the window motor to handle the higher load after replacing both of the rear and front switches. I did a write up on it with a diagram, pictures and part numbers. Rear window has been working great now.
