I'm trying to take the computer out of my 91 and I've removed the kick panel, the bracket holding the computer and the bolt on the connector and the connector will not come out of the computer is there anything I'm missing or I should do differently?

the connector bolt is suppose to force the connector off as loosened. the retaining washer failed its job. just have to wiggle the connector till it comes off
