I have limited slips in both axles. Do I have to put in the special additive or can I just run synthetic fluid? :shrug My forum search didn't turn up anything.

It depends, some gear oil already has the additive in it. If it says it conforms to the GL-5 spec, then you do not need to add any. If it does not, then youll need to add the special additive.
