Nice flex. I hope mine flexes like that whenever I get it finished. Any rubbing in the front under compression? How wide are your rims and what backspace/offset?
No rub experienced on any trails I took it on, including Hell's Revenge in Moab. I do get some radius arm rub at full lock, could have avoided that with different arms or turn stop adjustment. The wheels are 16 X 8, I don't remember the offset. I bought them at Discount Tire, they just looked up my truck on their system. I have 1.25 inch spacers on the front and 2 inch on the back. My truck has a wider front track than the rear and I was trying to equalize that witj h the different spacer sizes. Rear wheels still tuck into the wheel wells, I will have to look for the fic of the passengers side.

Again!? 35Ɨ12.50s will fit on 8" wide wheels
Costco said I have to run a 8.5" wheel because on a 8" wheel it would cause uneven tread wear in the center. So I was going to get 17x9s or 15x10s.

Was going to give the 31x10.5r15s to my dad for the dentside in the garage.

While Costco has a point, a 35 has plenty of sidewall to run on a 8" wheel. Just run at say 30 psi instead of 35. I think my 16s are 8" wide with 37x12.50s

Gotcha. I may get the 17s anyway. Just the right amount of sidewall for me. I think thats the right size wheel for 35s without looking like a brodozer.

Whether you are getting 35x12.5x15" tires or 35x12.5x17" tires they both require/recommend a 8.5"-11" wide rim. Could you fit the 35x12.5x15 tire on an 8" wide stock rim? Yes absolutely but depending on the Pressure in the tire (to high) it could wear out the center faster. The lower the air pressure in the tire the more it flexes the harder you make a turn and is not responsive to steering input. That was one of the reasons (the Major reason) of the Firestone Debacle Ford had with Rollovers way back when. Ford only called for 26lbs of air in the tire to make it ride smooth but that wasn't enough to keep the tire from rolling under and catching an edge on an emergency maneuver/turn also the lower pressure caused a lot of tire/belt flexing which in turn caused tire temperatures to rise and cause belt separation. BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 and General Grabber ATX 35x12.5x15 tires both call for 35psi Max. the same model tires above in a 17" tire both call for 65psi Max. Just giving some reference info to make a better decision and a Safer one also. Good luck.

My 37x12.5x16 are ten ply and call for at least 60 psi max IIRC. I run em about 33 psi. Thats with no sway bars and soft springs. Never had an issue with instability or steering responsiveness. But its also not a daily driver or even close to that.

Im running 35x12.5x17 on factory superduty wheels. They look about 8" wide. I run those 10 plys at 45-50psi.

That being said, stevo is 100% correct for utmost safety.

Here is a set of 35x12.50x17 on 17x10s on my 96

And 35x12.50x17 on the super duty
