78 Ford red is different than 79 Ford red on the Bronco's. I have no literature for 78's, only 79's.

 

Whaaaaaat? I have something you don't?? I have a sales brochure for a '78. Also a single page magazine ad for the '78.

The sales brochure lists two reds, candy apple and a castillo red.

 

any other ideas?

Check those sites for original brochures that might list the color codes, then take the code to any auto paint store. I had some dye custom-mixed for my dash last month. It was ~$50, but it came out perfect.
