It should fit.

You just have to find the mounting points and tap them.

I just removed my interior mount and placed D-rings in it's place.

Depending on tire size you may have to move the back seat forward 2.75 inchs. There are a number of kit out there . A 35inch tire will not fit when standing up on oem tire rack inside

 

I would consider switching to an interior mount if a 35" tire fit. You're saying there's a kit to move the seat so it will??

 

H, I have a 95 XL that has an interior spare tire carrier on the passenger side cargo wall. I'm not sure if it is factory or the PO put it in there but it seems to work well at least until I build a new bumper mounted. it actually sticks out from the wall enough that I store extra fluids ans tow straps behind the tire.

A 33” tall tire is the largest you can fit without moving the rear seat

 

Huh, thats pretty neat. Its not cheap, but i still kinda want it. It would be far less work then building a whole rear bumper/tire carrier. Maybe ill look for an interior carrier in the junkyard.....

 

That's cool, but looks easy to make. Just get a thick piece of aluminum and drill the pattern. For that matter, you could just stack washers. The stock front mounts could be modded pretty easy also. In the pic it only looks like an inch thick. So how does it move the seat 2.75"? Maybe it sits up straighter.

 

I think Autofab makes a kit It will fit best and be big $$$
