The original price was set at 1700 and i called and made an offer of 1500. went there the same day and test drove it and offered him 1100 for and to my surprise he took it. :chili: :chili: Its got a newer 460 and a C6? and np205? any way all i wanted was the 60. Also will an 8lug d44 out of the same year f250 bolt in? cause i want to swap them and sell the damn thing instead of part it.

the pictures hide a lot of problems. its got cancer and its spreading, the t-case doesnt work (linkage), the tranny doesnt shift good. but i didnt know the extended cab was rare. what do you think the value of the truck is?

It amazes me what people will tear apart to get a D60. Like stated above a 78/79 supercab in that condition is to nice to part out. A D44HD will go in place of the D60. Where do you live and PM me a price for the truck after you get the D60 out.
ill agree its amazing but ive have great patience wait on somthing like this to come and i couldnt let it slip. I live in portland area oregon

If you part that out many people from here will group together and fine you and beat you with a tube sock full of wood screws

believe me i would if i wasnt 17 and had more money, its one of my favorite body styles but no time and i have to stick with one project.

Hell if you were on the east coast, I'd give you $1100 after you put the D44HD in it. Seriously
sorry dude

What a shame....
i know i do feel guilty and im sure i will feel remorseful after but if i take the 60 and put the truck in someone else’s hands then it might be fixed up after all, so thers is hope and especially after hearing all you guys, i know theres someone out there who would fix it up.

IS there a reason you have to have 38" tires?

I ran 37" tires on a built D44hd, I mashed it, layed it down, and did trails harder than many areas the the Con has to offer, and I didnt have any major issues with a built 44hd. In Utah we have 4+-5+ trails everywhere. I broke 1 axle u-joint, that was it. I broke plenty of stuff everywhere else on the vehicle but that front axle was just fine.

IMHO:
1) You think you need it because of the so called "Cool" factor that having a D60 brings.

2) You think you need it because you lack driver finesse and experience to get over a trail obstacle without throwing the hammer down every time you see a rock bigger than your head.

3) Or all three. Your 17, this isn't a huge assumption on my part.

If anything, remove the bed, replace it with an nice tube bed, section the frame to whatever wheelbase you want, replace the tranni and tcase, both are simple to find, and both are cheap to replace, rebuild the 46o if need be, fix that little bit of body damage, and you got a really nice rig that you actually worked for, and you can say that instead of following all the other "Sheep" in the pursuit of throwing a 60 under your Bronco, you can actually say you have something that is rare, and envious. No one ever envy's a retard is follows the heard.

Just my two pennies.

This opinion obviously doesn't affect everyone who has a 60, just the ones who sift through golden opportunities to get one.

well said dude.:beer

I'm not gonna lay this on any more. He got a nice score, and it is his to do with what he will, but what a shame, it is a nice truck, all to take away a D60. Well, if he will at least put a D44HD back in it, and sell it reasonable so someone can make it right.

I do know the waiting and looking for a decently priced D60. I gave up, and really, decided that more likely than not, for what I was going to be doing, that D44 built up a bit would work just fine.

damn what a guilt trip, i didnt expect this. but like imlikeojnow said its my truck and just because im young doesnt mean i dont apprieceate that body style, like i said it could end up being my tow rig or hunting rig idk. i might even sell it and buy another 60. not being defensive i can take the hate.

I seriously doubt bnkrtstk is going to rip you off. He's been here too long, and is known by many ppl. He's a straight forward kinda guy. Ask him for pics. Ask someone else to go look at it for you and give you their opinion about his D60. Can't hurt to at least check it out. Just my 2 cents.

In all seriousness you could sell that truck and buy a couple D60's. If I wanted a D60 that bad and had an HD44 laying around I would do the same thing you are doing. Hell, you could probably sell it for close to the price you paid for it with no front axle. Make up your own mind, but a truck like that is worth more whole than parted. I'd be willing to bet the buyer takes the D44 out and re-installs a D60 :toothless
