Don't paint your ****ing modulars, it's getting old and there are enough people out there that want nice clean ones that it's just not worth it. Send your wheels to me and I'll send you a set of 8 spokes to paint black, if that's all you want to do.

:stupid: I agree. Although most people don't want the rims you have for some reason (I love them, not as much as the ones without rivits), but I think they're ugly as hell once painted.

I got a set that someone painted black, because the clear was pealing...used some aircraft paint stripper, and it took it all off...I even test fitted them black. Honestly, I thought it made my bronco look worse than the rusted rims that was on it...

Agreed--there are few things that look better on a Bronc than black wheels. Dunno why--they just do.
Krager Black Soft 8s are cheap. Save your beer money for 2 weeks and you'll have enough to get them. They come with a solid, glossy powdercoating, and are actually made in the United States of America! Despite their low pricetag, they have a pretty tight runout, and are precision made.

The downside to the Kragers over your aluminum wheels is that they are heavy, but they are absolutely bulletproof. The aluminium wheels will give you a little better acceleration and a little better fuel economy due their reduced reciprocating mass and unsprung weight, (about 10 LBS lighter per wheel) but I would not base my decision solely on that. It just depends what you ask your truck to do for you.

I love black wheels. I'd paint them if I were you and don't give a **** about what other people think. I like them even better when they are nice aluminum wheels painted black and not cheap steel wheels. but if you do it, get them powdercoated and don't do a shitty rattle can job on them.

These were chromed aluminum wheels with a hell of a shine on them when I bought them, and before I even ran them on the truck they went to the powdercoater for a dark gray job. I was gonna do black but I thought this would be a bit different.
