I'm going to give the motor mounts a try but believe the cutoff wheel is going to be the tool used. Thanks guys! Heat wrap looks to be working thus far. I got ahold of a temp gun and it shows temp of fuel line at 172* and 294* on the header tube.

Man, I need to get on this forum more....I dont think i knew you got this one! Looks good bro. How many in the stable now?
Yes you do! I'm sitting at 4 still, #4 I need to get back to. That probably won't happen until schools back in session.

Rick, nice to see you grabbed this one, I wanted too but the better half said sell one to get one.
You haven't wasted any time doing some real nice upgrades and she looks great.
Fun to see your kids involved and interested in the restoration work.:thumbup

Yeah I lucked out on this one still being there. I'm very pleased with my decission to purchase this one. I to had to sell one to get one. Thanks, my kids really like the Bronco. Both boys have claimed others as theirs, but this one is "moms" as she likes to say.

Gear installation

When I purchased this Bronco it came with gears for the rear and a carrier for the front not yet installed. I took care of that this past week. I've never installed gears before so I had my local shop (Cavalier Garage) walk me through it. The 3rd member had 4.11's/aussie ls so I needed to match up the front end and chose these.

Up in the air and ready for disassembly.

I'm not certain what oil was used but it sure was a bit ugly in color.

New gears installed and checked for proper backlash.

Time for the rear to come out.

Same ugly color in the rear.

New one stabbed in there.

Chirps the tires real easy with the 4.11's. Drives even better now in 4wd. LS is a bit loud on the street in a slow turn. Does great in the loose sand of Carova Beach. :beer

Out of the way of the other guages and still visible behind the wheel. I drove it and decided I need to twist it clockwise. Caught myself tilting my head to read it ;).

Next I swapped out my old headlight for some new ones. One of the old lamps had condensation in it.

I'll get a pic with them on the next time I drive it at night.

Looks like the pumpkin lube was some kind of Royal Purple or other syn or semi-syn lube. The header tube on the right side will have to be clearanced by shimming between the mount and block; do not ever take a chunk out of a frame, because it will weaken it.
