We have a hands free phone law, doesn't matter one bit....
Glad you're ok

My '73 F250 is plenty capable but on long highway runs, I feel like I'm pushing the 360FE/C6 a bit too hard. That's why it's licensed with "Farm Truck" tabs.
On my 69 F250 360 c6, I found the throttle linkage not opening completely. Quite a bit more oomph with that old 2 barrel carb opening all the way. Might be worth a check.

Drove it to work and back again yesterday. Had to... was using my firebird as work commuter. Wednesday afternoon on the way home, I got smacked and spun by a pickup who left his stop sign without looking. Car is totaled, sub-frame damage. He had a 2024 Sierra and his bumper smacked the rear quarter and shoved the axle over 4". He launched off the stop sign to smack me that hard, did a 180* into a yard, almost hit the house but did hit their vinyl fence and stone work which spun me for a full 360*. Oh well, good 12 year run with the old girl, took me to Florida round trip, and Maine twice. I'll get another someday.
Well that super sucks man. Glad you sound like you're ok, despite the totaled classic.

Nah. I rebuilt the carb a few yrs back and she's ran like a top since. She handles the highway fine, I just feel like the high rev (C6, no OD, as you know) over a long term is more work than I want to put that engine through... when I rely on it so much for plowing the property. I'm spoiled by that E4OD, I 'spose. 😝

Gotcha. Makes sense.

Grandpa loved that truck, but my uncle always complained about how gutless it was. When I first got it & found that linkage not pulling enough, it tickled me. When my son first drove it he was surprised at how easily it would light up the rear tires.

Can anyone tell me what the voltage should be at the harness connection to the AC compressor clutch on 92-96 trucks? My bronco is my only ford with working ac, it shows 14+V pinning the connector when running and ac on. My 351 does not have working ac (clutch does not engage) but the connector shows 21/22 volts??? … I think the clutch is my problem I’ll test some more, but is that high of voltage acceptable or do I have problems somewhere else too?? I may have a meter not working right.

It should be no more than what the charging system is making as there is no step up transformer on our broncos so 21/22v dc would not be possible unless you have a charging problem or your meter is on the wrong setting. As a side note if a electromagnet (how the AC clutch works) is provided with to much voltage it can lead to it failing quickly.

Thanks for the response. I posted that Q in haste I should have done a little homework first. The meter I was using is okay ish but sometimes I’ve noticed I have to rezero it. That may have been my problem. I’ll check it again. Thanks for the tip on the over voltage.

Picked up a set of OEM Ford wagon wheels like the ones on my Bronco, except they're 8". I was bummed when I showed up to look at them though. The ad showed what looked like good condition red striped trim rings on them. He said that was another set he had sold a while back but forgot to take it down. We agreed on a lower price and I'm glad to get the 8" wheels, but still a bit bummed

Used it to pick up an old 16' car trailer. Not great shape, but good enough for what I want to use it for (I hope).

Installed repaired PSOM from Module Mechanics. BEYOND pleased!
What work did you have done? I’ve been thinking mine may need it but haven’t made any calls or anything. It’s drivable and there’s always something else needing to be done.

Came across an older post about flipping the PVC to the driver side and adding a second catch can to the fresh air inlet. So I bought a second catch can and some hose to reroute my PVC system.
