I'm trying to figure out what axle this is. I'd appreciate any info on it. Pics are below. I thought it was a 10.25 semi-floater, but have been told it might be a Dana 60 instead. Here's what I know:
-It came from an 87 F250 with a 302 & AOD.
-It is 8 Lug.
-It is heavy for an old guy like me to move.
-It has what I think is a VSS plug.
-Axle tubes measure 3-1/2" OD.
-It has additional bracing around the perimeter of webs surrounding the pumpkin.
-It has a "Ford" logo in one of the webs.
-It has a triangle inside of a circle followed by a 5 in one of the webs.
-It has a 5 in one of the webs.
-I don't find a "Dana" diamond or a 60, 70, or 80 in any of the webs.
-The tag is a single hole tag.
-The tag says "V111C" on the top line.
-The tag says "4L10 10 2 7A05" on the bottom line.
-It is about 66' wms to wms.
Here's what I found so far:
-From Steve83's diagram the tag seems to indicate a Ford 10.2 axle (I'm guessing this is a 10.25 & the tag just rounds it off), with 4.10 gears, limited slip, & built Jan 5, 1987.

-The perimeter webbing doesn't look like the 10.25 SF in Steve83's drawing

-The perimeter webbing looks more like the Dana 80 in this Steve83 drawing. I don't think it's a Dana 80, just the perimeter looks similar.

And here are more pics:
From what I've been able to gather I'm guessing that it is a 10.25 Sterling, semi float, limited slip, with 4.10 gears, but I don't really know. Can anybody tell me what this is? Is it an axle that could be used, or is a semi float just not worth messing with? Thanks.
