Ok, I've a new sight. I'm re-doing some pages and thus the Dana 44 stuff also.
I'm looking for stuff you think I'm missing.
Pictures, post them in this thread if you can OR send me a PM and I'll give yo my e-mail if you can post.
-Yes I know my pictures suck, but now I've the space to host them. So the doors are open...

Well, you are well aware of the gripe with needing more clear/updated pics.

I for one would like a bit more clarity on knuckle out D44 8 lug swaps, and using parts other than Ford. Chevy seems to be the main focus here. I am heading this route and promise to take loads of pics on my swap.

Damn man, don't hold back, tell him how you feel! :twak I don't bitch about his site because he does it for free and to be helpful. Technology and his access to it has not doubt changed since he started this project as well.

P.S. I think your zuk or sammy or whatever the hell it is is butfukkin ugly but I don't go around saying it. :toothless

Yeah, it is an informative site, and yeah, alot of the pics do suck. (but he has already admitted that.)
Correct, and there was no point in bringing it up. Its not like he's charging admission. I guess it goes with the territory when one gets proclaimed the dana 44 guru. :histerica I don't even think anybody at Dana knows what the hell was going on with all the Dana 44 stuff. :drinkbud

Take the Pics, I've room and after the pics I'll add more info on this.
Chevy was my focus because it's cheaper.

Happen to know how the dana axle designation numbers came about? That'd be a neat tid bit to have on the site.
Justin
Good idea, but I've yet to find any more info.

What does the "072" on the bottom of the Bronco 78/79 Dana 44s mean? Is it on all of them or just certain ones?
Image
Good question, I'm not sure. The 072 is not in the book.

I've always stayed away from a step by step how to. He has good info, but that isn't my style.

Well, for the space I had to deal with I felt more was better. Plus I can't stand the site with pop-up adds.
I'll grab some pics, but you found a swapped in axle. I'm sure the BOM will tell :toothless
Have the link?

Pics with a 1.2 mega pixal in a point and shoot just don't hold up to my new camera (Heck my web cam takes better pics now)
The problem is I no longer have the time to find axles in Junk Yards, and less yard like you taking pictures! (I've been chased out of a yard, just glad to get away)

If i had the pics to donate i would :thumbup, but i dont. But, zach does have a bunch of good ones on his superford site.
Site went up because off all the miss information that was out there. Heck I'm thinking of posting the orginal web page at my current site, maybe a good April 1st joke ;)

I'm just a guy that talked Dana out of some books, took pictures, and match the info to the Book. Then posted the info on a pop-up and add free site.

info to use since your skety on f150 extended cab knuckles

all these are disc brake. sorry no drum ones, i have throw all those useless things away already for scrap

left to right
f150/bronco. middle. f150 extended cab, right f250. all all 78/79 vintage high pinions
Image

Image

the extended cab and f250 knuckles mount the tie rod higher than the the regular bronco/f150 ones
Image

unlike contrarry belief the top of a f150 extended cab knuckle looks liek the top of a regular bronco knuckle on the passanger side. it is not flat top like the f250 knuckle.
Image

the driver side of the f150 extended cab is like the f250 and is a flat top and uses the same arm as the f250
