I've never cared for the bumper guards, especially when I could mount a cactus smasher instead. So in between the noreaster and hurricane this weekend I swapped the two. I needed to sand, clean and paint the cactus smasher first.

I've got another bumper I think is in better shape. I just need to verify that first. If so I'll swap the one on there now out. Also got my susp. components from wh's. I'm going to try and install those thu or fri. I don't think I can take the rear bobbing anymore.

I took advantage of some free time and installed the Wildhorses leafs and coils along with the bilsteins. With the new taller coils came an adjustable track bar from superlift via summit racing. I changed the gear oil out of the front and rear diffs and put the new skid diff cover on. While there I painted the frame with some rustoleum 2x gloss black paint. Changed the oil filter of the engine and swapped out the thermostat that I believe was starting to stick. Hoses had to go also, as you will see they looked a little warn out.

The first time I've ever had to cut the ubolts off.

New springs in with the new hd ubolts

Gonna need to get a new longer shaft with the longer droop of the rear.

Used these adapters for the eyelet shocks up front. I liked almost all about them. The locking nuts sucked and would not tighten past 3/4's. Trashed those and got some regulars nuts with a locking washer.

Hit the rear with some paint.

I didn't like the look of the boots when compressed. So off they came.

The stock track bar works with superlift or skyjacker 4" springs but not with the WH's springs or Deaver springs. So an adjustable is what I like to use.

I like those front coils looks to be very little bow either to the side or to the front, lot less then the JBG superflex's.

you making your own set of arms or sending the C's off to west coast?

Looks good, regardless wish mine was that clean

The best part is installation, a little tap from deadblow hammer and they are in. Sent them out to WCB as a core.

Looking good Rick.
Thanks Jim

Looks good Rick. So what are your plans on the driveshaft? When you put the diff covers on did they have a thin gasket that came with them? Did you use it plus RTV blue? Both sides of the gasket?
Thanks Mark, I'm gonna grab some measurements and get Tom Woods to build me a new shaft. It will be longer and better when wheeling. The cover came w/ a gasket n blue rtv. I only used the rtv to seal it up.

The WCB tubular arms are what my 78 will get soon also. I will be interested to see what you say about them. Please take a bunch of pics of those and how they work once you get it out again.

Are you planning on running the 5100 Bilsteins upfront with those extended arms? If you are you may want to look into some limiting straps as I think it will flex good enough it will need them.

I've been looking for a long arm for a while. The rear mount is what appealed to me the most. I will get a bunch of pics for ya. I'm not 100% sure on shocks yet. I wanted to get them mounted first and go from there.

Thanks guys, I searched it on amazon and found that one. Go figure though it was 2.5 times as much the ebay link. I gave the magic eraser a try on a spot and it worked with no harm to paint. Thing is the paint has been damaged outside of stripes, where stripes are is original color. I'll grab a pic and show ya.
