Everything I have read I believe you made the right choice on the shock valving. Are you going to mount the reservoirs to the shocks or on a separate mount? I will be curious to see what they look like installed and how you fell they work. They look pretty regardless.... Seats look good too, like you said match a lot better
The more I drive it the more confident I am that it needs stiffer valving than the "stock" valving a Bronco gets. I'm going to mount them to the shocks if there is enough clearance. I don't think the rear will be an issue with that. The front I'm not so sure of. I'll keep ya in the know on the shocks.

damn man. I thought that was a pretty sweet rig when you got it. she's getting all kinds of fancy now. :thumbup
Judi did a hell of a job building her. I'm just putting the finishing touches on her. Almost "done".

Dang a few touches alright! What a cool custom build kudos!!! :twotu:
Thanks

Thanks for the updates, love seeing other people making some progress.
You bet

I had some free time yesterday. So I used it to get some things finished up. Twin stick boot didn't work. After speaking to Jon at JBfab. "The boot is more of a universal boot, and not for any specific install", so I had to fill the hole a bit to make it work. I got out the cardboard and cut a template.

Scratched out a piece of metal off the scrap tree.

Laid it in place

Secured it in place with some screws.

Now to get the carpet around it situated. I hacked it up pretty good.

I took some time and changed my shocks. I had bilstein 5100's with 255/70 valving in there. They were a little loose with the long arms and wildhorses springs. I went and stepped up the valving on the new shocks with some 5165's and 360/80.

Short ride home last night showed and improvement. So far so good from the 5165's. If the rear shock mounting up front turns out to be a little restrictive in up travel and down travel. I have an idea and that is to take the front shock tower and move it to the rear mount. That should provide sufficient room. Stay tuned for more.

If an admin/mod could fix those tilted photos please. Don't have any idea why those are like that. They were "correct" when uploaded to stupid motors. Thanks!

sorry bud... I checked the code, that's on SM. Nothing we can do short of copy, adjust, resubmit to our own SM or similar and repost.
That's your deal man. :toothless

Looking good Rick, you ready for January? This is going to be one helluva FOTM!!!

Ready or not here I come. Thanks Dave, still working on it.

Looks good Rick. So you had just one shock in front of the coil and now just one behind the coil correct. How come you didn't raise the upper shock mount to run a shock with more travel.
When I went to the wh's kit I was using the dual shocks and it handled pretty good. Maybe just a bit loose. Then I got the long arms on and the dual shocks I had didn't work. The behind the axle shock was too limiting for up travel so it came out. I didn't want to blow it out. That left one shock up front and it was in front of the axle. The Bronco with the stock valving and the 4 shocks just wasn't working. I started looking into a different shock with travel I could live with. So I stepped up the valving a bit with these 360/80. Travel is about what I want. I am going to run what I have right now and see how I like it. Like I said, I have another option for the shock towers and Brandon (CRAZYbroncoguy) has a rear mount I like. I'm full out custom now on these shocks. No manual or blueprint to go off of. Nothing over at westcoastbronco's to go off of and wildhorses hasn't taken their fsb this far. Do you have some suggestions? I'm all ears here buddy.

I am running the Cage arms up front and I am using the F-250 shock mounts. All I needed to do was drill one hole in them and I was able to mount them right up to the inner fender. They look factory and don't require the use of the conversion kit.

I am running 14" short body 7100's - this will allow me to rebuild the shock with whatever valving I need. I am at the same valving as you, but with the deaver springs. I am set up with ~5.5" of up travel and I will be adding the bilstein hydraulic bump stops to limit up travel.

Thanks Rich, that is an option. Are those shock towers from the 250 set for eyelet shocks? Looks like it in the picture. The front tower is not in use right now and that be where I go. I am set for a little more down travel than I like. So limiting straps are in the future. Still working this thing out.

You're running the 5.5" Deavers?

Hey Rick
What I have done is switch the front shock tower with the back shock tower to gain more travel out of the shock. But this means you have to build a new track bar bracket.

Yeah originally thought that also but I don't want to build a new trac-bar mount. I bought some f250 shock towers to fix the issue. Thanks!

I picked up the wh's hydroboost kit a couple of months ago. I got around to installing it this past week.

bench bleed the master

time for the old insufficient to come out.

went in nice and easy

adjusted the bracket to position the pedal where I wanted it. Then locked it down.

time to build the hi pressure hoses.

master on now to get the brake lines on

time to make the master cylinder prettier.

Now I'd call it done right here. But unfortunetaly I can't. I bleed the system as the instrucktons said. I had no leaks throughout the test drive and it sat over night. Checked the next morning and I noticed the return line had a dot of fluid on it. Wiped it off with little concern. Went to the meet and greet today and noticed more fluid on the return line.

It appears to be coming from the mating point of the master cylinder and the hydro booster. I've spoken to a ouple of people and the thought is a bas master cylinder. Thoughts?
